Overland Storage Study: Tape Still Sells in UK

According to a study released this month by Overland Storage, a shocking number of UK businesses are still relying on tape storage for their offsite backup layer. The study claims that 83% of businesses today still rely on tape storage, of those, 70% use tape as their primary offsite backup strategy.

To top this off, a staggering number of businesses plan to purchase new tape systems within the next five years (54%), and of those, 24% expect to purchase within the next 12 months.

This begs the question: how quickly can you restore your clients' critical data and be back in production after a disaster? And furthermore, what value can you provide your customers that your current, antiquated tape system cannot?
